Job Description:

We are seeking a talented and experienced Product Manager to join our team in Society Operations. The ideal candidate will be passionate about building great products that solve customer and member problems and drive business objectives. As a Product Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for the end-to-end product lifecycle, from concept to launch, and beyond. The Product Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, design, marketing, and sales to deliver innovative and high-quality products that delight our customers and members. The role is both strategic and operational and is a great fit for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and can think big while diving into the details to execute flawlessly.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Product Strategy: Develop and execute product strategies that align Membership offerings with Society goals and market opportunities. Ensuring we have the right benefits, price and value proposition and are constantly monitoring benefit usage in each membership tier and updating based on usage.
  • Market Research: Conduct thorough market research to identify member needs, market trends, and competitive dynamics across all segments.
  • Product Development: Lead cross-functional teams in the development of new products, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
  • Roadmap Management: Create and maintain product roadmaps, prioritize features and enhancements based on business value and customer feedback.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including engineering, marketing, sales, and customer support, to ensure alignment and successful product launches.
  • Performance Analysis: Monitor product performance, analyze key metrics, and make data-driven decisions to optimize product success.
  • Customer Focus: Advocate for the customer, ensuring their needs and feedback are central to product development and improvement.
  • Data Governance: Ensure robust data governance practices are in place, including data quality, security, and compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA). Develop and enforce policies for data management and usage.
  • Technology Requirements: Collaborate with the technology team to define technical requirements and ensure the product is built using scalable, secure, and efficient technologies. Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry best practices to drive innovation.


This role is based in our Washington D.C. office. A reasonable rate of compensation for this position is between $95,000-$115,000 per year.

Qualifications:



  • Education: A minimum of 8 years of related experience with a bachelor's degree; or 6 years and a master's degree; or equivalent work experience preferably with at least 3 years in a SAAS or membership industry.


  • Skills: Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and leadership abilities. Be able to write compelling product specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria, hypotheses and success metrics for new product features or enhancements and bring clarity to what needs to be built, for whom, and why.


  • Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with product development methodologies, including Agile and Scrum. Experience with product management tools such as JIRA, Trello, or similar.
  • Industry Expertise: Deep understanding of member and/or subscription industry including market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
  • Data Governance: Experience in implementing and managing data governance frameworks. Knowledge of data privacy laws and regulations.
  • Technology Proficiency: Proficiency in working with technological teams to define and implement technical requirements. Understanding of software development processes and cloud technologies.


  • Metric driven: Establish and measure KPIs that bring transparency to product success and business value delivered to key stakeholders.
