Overview:

Prepares operating room for surgery, using appropriate techniques. Provides technical services and assists in the operating room as assigned and directed by the professional nurse.

Qualifications:

Education: Post high school/vocational.

Experience: 1 year experience as a scrub tech.

Certifications: BLS Certification through the American Heart Association for Health Care Providers.

Other: Competent to provide services to age specific patient population of assigned areas.

Preferred Education: CST certification
