As a Senior Program Manager, you'll drive complex cross-functional initiatives that directly support Sony Music's strategic business priorities. Operating at the intersection of Product Design Engineering (PDE) and SME business teams, you'll align cross-functional efforts to ensure timely, high-impact delivery. In this role, you'll focus on the delivery of scalable, reliable accounting systems in partnership with SME's finance teams. You'll also play a critical role in evolving the program management function within PDE to support the organization's growth and operational excellence.


What you'll do:

  • Lead and manage complex programs or large projects throughout the product lifecycle, driving alignment with strategic business goals and maximizing team outcomes
  • Drive cross-functional execution by sequencing dependencies and aligning scope, timelines, and priorities across PDE and business teams
  • Shape program objectives and success criteria in partnership with PDE discipline leads and senior business stakeholders
  • Establish and track program performance, proactively communicating progress, risks, blockers, and dependencies to stakeholders at all levels
  • Orchestrate alignment between product development and business functions, including Finance, Legal, Marketing, and Label Management, to ensure smooth and successful Go-to-Market strategies and launches
  • Anticipate organizational friction and support change management to ensure the successful adoption of new systems, processes, and workflows
  • Organize and facilitate highly effective meetings for a wide range of audiences, including all company roadmap updates, cross-departmental updates, and meetings across your product area
  • Lead program and org-level process improvements, partnering with discipline leads to scale practices that drive alignment, execution, and productivity across teams
  • Help define the future of program management at Sony Music by partnering with the Director of Program Management and other PDE leaders to scale best practices, frameworks, and tooling
  • Coach mid-level PgMs and peers, helping to raise the overall maturity of program management practices


Who you are:

We're seeking 7+ years of Program Management experience with the following strengths:



  • You have proven success in managing multiple programs or large projects of varying scale and complexity, while working autonomously
  • You bridge the gap between strategic priorities and team-level execution, helping teams focus on what matters most
  • You bring a strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and product management processes, enabling you to partner effectively with leads from discovery through launch
  • You have deep first-hand understanding of Agile practices and have the ability to choose the right methodology (Scrum, Kanban, Lean, etc) for the right purpose
  • You use tools like JIRA, Notion, Confluence, and Slack to promote transparency, drive alignment, and seamless collaboration across teams
  • You are skilled at influencing outcomes without relying on direct authority
  • You communicate clearly and confidently with diverse stakeholders, tailoring your approach to technical and non-technical audiences alike
  • You thrive in ambiguity, applying strategic thinking and a sense of urgency to bring clarity and momentum to complex challenges
  • You champion teams creating quality products and focus teams on delivering measurable value to users, whether internal stakeholders or external clients
  • You create the conditions for teams to self-organize and succeed, focusing on removing obstacles and enabling accountability
  • You value relationships and camaraderie, and you bring people together across functions to make complex work feel connected and purposeful


Bonus Points For



  • Experience in the music industry and/or strong passion for music
  • Experience working as a scrum master, product manager and/or engineer
  • Exposure to scaled agile frameworks, such as SAFe, LeSS, or Scrum@Scale
  • Jira Administration experience
  • B2B or B2B2C experience
