The Product Manager I is responsible for the product planning, product management, and in some cases product marketing of a product or service. The Product Manager I is involved in defining the overall business strategy, including production expectations, performance, and profitability outcomes and goals.

JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Responsible for designing and developing new products and services that meet a client need
  • Recommends new pricing and value propositions along with influencing and crafting product positioning and channel content and messaging
  • Responsible for understanding market conditions, the regulatory landscape and making recommendations for change as appropriate to internal and external conditions
  • Responsible for the compliance and legality of all product offerings and effectiveness of distribution and delivery
  • Responsible for scanning the competitive landscape and keeping a pulse on the competition with noted gaps, strengths, and weaknesses
  • Accountable for forecasting accuracy, performance measurement and monitoring, and overall client experience and impacts
  • May build relationships with vendors and be involved in negotiating and influencing vendor contracts
  • May collaborate with Marketing Consultant to manage marketing campaigns and capabilities, and measures and reports out on results
  • May lead a business initiative following a project plan and is responsible for outcomes

Requirements:

  • Complies with all KeyBank policies and procedures, including without limitation, acting professionally at all times, conducting business ethically, avoiding conflicts of interest, and acting in the best interests of Key's clients and Key.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree in business or related field and/or equivalent work experience required

Experience Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in financial services or related industry
  • preferred or year's experience in product development preferred

Tactical Skills

  • Financial and analytical thinking and the ability to forecast
  • Understanding of Retail Banking products and segment needs
  • Business management presentation and PowerPoint skills
  • Ability to drive projects from concept to rollout in cooperation with various business units and third-party partners
  • Self-starter and team player with a structured approach to achieve tight timelines on complex deliverables
  • Demonstrated communication skills and ability to work within a team environment.
  • Working knowledge of PC (MS Windows and Office Products including Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at once and prioritize delivery based on key objectives

Physical Demands

General Office - Prolonged sitting, ability to communicate face to face in person or on the phone with teammates and clients, frequent use of PC/laptop, occasional lifting/pushing/pulling of backpacks, computer bags up to 10 lbs.
