Job Description

Our current product portfolio includes structural, mechanical and electro-mechanical products associated with both airframe and engine applications across all ATA Chapters. Through our strategic partnerships with some of the most respected OEMs in the aviation industry, Seal Dynamics stocks and distributes more than 100,000 products globally in support of our customer requirements.

We are looking to fill the role of Product Manager for our Military & Government Division. Product Management is the vital sales link between the Strategic Partners we represent and the military market we support.

This is an in-person position working from our Hauppauge, NY facility

Duties & Responsibilities -



  • Provide prompt, day-to-day subject matter expert level support of assigned product line(s) to sales teams and customer base.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with day-to-day contacts at our Strategic Partners.
  • Manage Product sales activity tracking, report building and present during business reviews.
  • Manage DLA solicitation processes, Pre & Post Award (sourcing, pricing, submittal, contracts, etc.).
  • Manage FMS sales and solicitation processes (sourcing, pricing, submittal, contracts, etc.)
  • Identify, track and process new business programs / opportunities (includes SAR package Builds).
  • Review and strategically price long term contracts and fixed price agreements.
  • Recommend and implement pricing strategies to maximize gross profit.
  • Develop annual forecast - update, track and monitor sales and margin performance.
  • Support identification and development of new project/program initiatives.
  • Strategically manage inventory levels in conjunction with purchasing team.


This is an in-person position working from our Hauppauge, NY facility

Requirements

Additional Duties & Responsibilities -




  • Perform front-end sourcing functions (Source ID, Quotes), manage order processing and coordinate purchases with Seal Dynamics Materials Team.
  • Support processing of Broker and Reseller inquiries (sourcing, pricing, quoting, follow-up, etc.).
  • Establish/maintain customer relationships, actively participate in new account development.
  • Recommend credit terms where required.
  • Responsible for maintaining military fleet product matrix.
  • Guide /support / execute the Order entry processes, with CSR Team.
  • Identify, Track and Process SAR opportunities (includes SAR package Builds).



Knowledge & Skills Requires -




  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products - including Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks.
  • Must be highly organized, responsive and motivated.
  • Must have strong follow-up and task tracking skills, pay attention to detail.
  • Requires strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Understanding of Gross Profit, Mark-up / Pricing strategies, etc.
  • Must be able to make well thought out decisions that are in the best interest of the business.
  • Must be self-motivated and resilient, in order to adapt and conform to the requirements of the position.



Experience & Education Required -




  • Military Aerospace Sales and/or Distribution experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business preferred


Light travel on occasion may be required (<20%) - for Training, Customer or Strategic Partner Visits
