WHO WE ARE

Chinquapin Trust Company operates a private trust company and single-family office that manages a sophisticated investment portfolio and provides trust management and oversight, financial reporting, tax compliance and other services for its clients. Clients include individuals, partnerships, corporations, trusts and private foundations. This position is a bridge between Client Service and Investment teams, providing wealth advisory services to the family and translating client needs for the Investment portfolios.

AN OVERVIEW

Reporting to the Director of Client Service, the Client Service Officer-Family Wealth Advisor is an integral part of the client service team. This individual is accountable for:



  • Understanding financial objectives for our clients either through interactions directly with clients or through our Client Service team.
  • Individual portfolio management through understanding client goals to set asset allocations, set targets for cash reserves, and manage rebalancing of portfolios to maintain allocation targets.
  • Assisting with other investment functions.
  • Advising clients on investment portfolios and strategies.
  • Creating and maintaining financial plans to meet client goals and identify areas CTC can further assist with wealth management.
  • Understanding risk management profiles of our clients and help identify products and strategies to mitigate those risks.
  • Working with individual family members to achieve financial goals.
  • Helping Client Service and Investment teams build client financial literacy.
  • Managing investments for clients outside of traditional CTC vehicles.
  • Working closely with cross-functional experts both internally and externally in the areas of investments, estate planning, charitable giving, risk management, accounting, tax.


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

The following is required to be considered for this role:



  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Experience in Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint
  • 5 years working directly with clients in wealth management or financial planning


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Your resume will stand out if you have:



  • A certification related to investments, financial planning or trust administration.
  • Strong client orientation and ability to build trusted relationships with diverse clients with a wide range of needs.
  • Experience working in a professional, high net worth, highly confidential environment.
  • Ability to explain complex information to clients in a way they can understand and make decisions, both written and verbally.
  • Track record of working autonomously and proactively, while still collaborating well with others.
