*Description*
An ophthalmic medical assistant (OMA) provides patient care and administrative support in ophthalmology offices. They assist ophthalmologists with exams, and patient education, while also handling administrative tasks like scheduling and record keeping. OMA's often perform tests like tonometry and ophthalmoscopy, Patient Care: Administering eye exams, taking patient histories, measuring visual acuity, and assisting with procedures. Administrative Tasks: Scheduling appointments, managing patient records, preparing exam rooms, and ordering supplies. Education: Educating patients on eye conditions, treatment options, and medication instructions. M-F 8-5 Poway 20 patients a day MA cert and BLS required #prioritywest25 *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $28.00/hr.
