Contract Strategy & Oversight- Senior Manager (remote)

This is a remote position open to any qualified applicant in the United States.

Purpose:

Providing contract development, negotiation, and sales support for revenue-generating activities across multiple products and services. This includes expert deal structuring, coordinating and managing pursuit teams, shaping business solutions with assistance of sales reps, overseeing and guiding pursuit management, and leading or facilitating offline contract review and negotiation preparation. Ensuring appropriate solution from both a business and technical perspective - taking into account all realities and constraints such as costs, contract terms, legal impact and accuracy, business conditions, and the overall requirements of the client. Working closely with Sales and Services Management in prioritizing specific opportunities, refining through research proper product/services solution mix, securing issue resolution and internal TriZetto alignment and putting forth a positive financial strategy

Working closely with Sales and Services Management in prioritizing specific opportunities refining through research proper product/services solution mix securing issue resolution and internal TriZetto alignment and putting forth a positive financial strategy.

Essential Functions:

Conduct contract research, analyzing multiple contracts to extract key details, and comparing terms to identify critical information for negotiations. Utilizing AI tools to assist in the research process.

Working to creatively package a mix of products and services with positive financials, pulling from a variety of sources. Assisting in the negotiation preparation process toward issue resolution, researching and recommending agreeable mutual ground for win/win outcomes. Coordinating and communicating the key activities, issues, and resources of a pursuit including determining appropriate senior management escalation.

Reviewing existing and new contracts for legal and financial accuracy ensuring clarity and recommending precise language to support effective negotiations.

Incorporating knowledge of key IT technology, processes, services and operational factors into a solution in order to assist in the development of contracts.

Responsible for recommending innovative solutions to streamline the contracting process, document creation, and solution architecture from a documentation perspective. This includes optimizing contracts for a mix of products and services, full-stack solutions, core system replacements, new master agreements, and comprehensive schedule sets.

Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma, GED Certificate or equivalent required.

Preferred- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Health Care Administration, Information Technology Management or Law.

Experience: Minimum of five years' related experience to include three years of experience in preparing proposals, drafting contracts, and reviewing legal language. Experience in the healthcare industry, legal consulting, managed services, preferably in the insurance payer market.

Technical Competencies:

* Experience in Artificial Intelligence (AI) with regards to language development, search criteria, artifact comparison, and solution design.

* Strong analytical skills with a focus on supporting strategic decision-making and ensuring accurate delivery of contractual terms.

* Demonstrating extensive financial analytical capabilities including TCO, ROI and VSOE analysis.

* Project and Organizational Management experience including responsibility matrix oversight.

Travel Requirements: Travel of up to 25%.

Salary and Other Compensation:
Applications will be accepted until May 27, 2025.
The annual salary for this position is between $125,000 - $150,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and
subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
