Could you be the full-time onsite Environment, Health and Safety Specialist in New Castle, DE, US we're looking for?

Your future role

"Take on a new challenge and apply your Environment, Health, and Safety expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You'll work alongside dedicated and collaborative teammates.
You'll play a critical role in fostering a zero-incident workplace by implementing safety programs, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Day-to-day, you'll work closely with teams across the business (site Directors, Supervisors, Field Service Engineers, Technicians, contractors, and vendors), develop and deliver safety training programs, and conduct periodic health, safety, and environmental audits, among other impactful responsibilities."

We'll look to you for:




  • Ensuring an environment of zero workplace incidents and accidents through the development and implementation of safety programs. ,



  • Performing risk assessments and providing safety oversight for workplace activities. ,



  • Creating and maintaining all health, safety, and environmental documentation in compliance with federal, state, local, and company requirements. ,



  • Developing and conducting safety training for employees, visitors, vendors, and customers. ,



  • Coordinating with various stakeholders, including site Directors, Supervisors, and contractors, to address and resolve health, safety, and environmental issues. ,



  • Conducting periodic audits of the site and reporting findings and key performance indicators through Alstom's HS&E reporting system. ,



  • Providing guidance and assistance to site MDs for security assessments and issues. ,



  • Ensuring compliance with security rules and processes, and managing local security teams or providers. ,



  • Organizing security training and awareness initiatives for the site. ,



  • Maintaining advanced working knowledge of industry standards such as OSHA, NFPA 70E, ANSI 359, ANSI Z10, OHSAS 18001, ISO 14001, and DOT-TSSP."

  • Degree in a technical field or equivalent relevant experience. ,



  • Experience or understanding of General Industry safety and/or AGTS Operations and Maintenance. ,



  • Knowledge of OSHA standards (29 CFR 1926-1910) as well as state and local safety, health, and environmental regulations. ,



  • Familiarity with EPA, DOT, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, and other relevant standards. ,



  • Ability to communicate effectively in written and spoken English and effectively present information. ,



  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. ,



  • Advanced working knowledge of regulatory compliance (e.g., OSHA, NFPA 70E, ANSI 359, ANSI Z10). ,



  • Experience in conducting risk assessments and developing safety training programs. ,



  • Ability to create and maintain health, safety, and environmental documentation. ,



  • Strong collaboration skills to work with diverse teams, including supervisors, technicians, contractors, and vendors.
