Location: JFK
Hourly Rate: $26.32

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and bring your customer service expertise to a dynamic and fast-paced environment. You'll report to the Station Operations Supervisor and work alongside dedicated, proactive, and customer-focused teammates.

You'll be the face of the AirTrain experience, ensuring passengers enjoy a seamless, safe, and welcoming journey. Day-to-day, you'll work closely with operations, maintenance, and special events teams, manage crowd flow, and provide accurate travel information to passengers.

You'll specifically take care of wayfinding assistance, fare support, and customer engagement-but also play a key role in emergency response and service recovery.

We'll look to you for:

  • Delivering a world-class customer experience by embodying the WE SOAR values: Welcome, Exceed Expectations, Seek to Connect, Own It, Approachable, and Respect.
  • Providing accurate information on schedules, fares, and transfer options to connect passengers to the MTA and other transit systems.
  • Ensuring smooth boarding processes, assisting with luggage, and managing crowd control.
  • Monitoring station activity and proactively addressing service disruptions or passenger concerns.
  • Collaborating with internal teams to ensure safe and efficient station operations.
  • Performing fare collection support activities and maintaining accurate documentation.

All about you

We value passion and attitude over experience. That's why we don't expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we've listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (Associate's degree preferred)
  • Experience in customer service, hospitality, or front desk roles
  • Rail transportation experience is a plus
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to remain calm and courteous under pressure
  • Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and navigate train platforms safely

Things you'll enjoy

Join us on a life-long transformative journey - the rail industry is here to stay, so you can grow and develop new skills and experiences throughout your career. You'll also:

  • Enjoy stability, challenges, and a long-term career free from boring daily routines
  • Work in a collaborative and inclusive environment
  • Contribute to a meaningful mission of sustainable mobility
  • Benefit from comprehensive training and development opportunities
  • Be part of a company that values diversity, equity, and inclusion

You don't need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us. We guarantee that when you step onto one of our trains with your friends or family, you'll be proud. If you're up for the challenge, we'd love to hear from you!
