Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Account Management:
- Support Spok Sales efforts
- Manage client relationships during and post implementation
- Monitor project status, assisting with project direction and helping to facilitate solutions
- Ensure overall project quality
- Review and prioritize new logo, upgrades, and add-on implementation opportunities
- Backup Project Managers, including but not limited to: facilitate discussions on product; understand products; conduct project management duties
Resource Management:
- Manage group workload and resource scheduling across multiple projects
- Conduct interview and select new staff members
- Plan and coordinate the on-boarding/mentoring of department resources
- Coach and mentor team members, assist with their professional development
Communication:
- Meet with client and Spok team members to resolve issues
- Apply methodology, product knowledge and expertise to project staff and clients
- Maintain professional presence with project staff and clients
- Conduct and help facilitate the "sales to implementation" and "implementation to support" hand-offs
Administration:
- Help manage timecard entries using departmental tools and technology
- Complete annual performance reviews and ensure compliance with Spok policies and procedures
- Manage administrative T&E
- Attend project planning, departmental and company meetings
Professional Development:
- Complete new release product training in a timely manner
- Demonstrate and expand upon domain expertise
- Provide mentorship and training
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Directly supervises 10-20 employees in the department
Required Skills, Education, and Experience
- Bachelor's degree
- 3+ years project management experience
- Demonstrated effective leadership skills
- Advanced written and oral communication skills
- Willing to identify, own, and solve problems independently and as part of a team
- Understanding of new system implementation and installation processes
- Ability to identify key issues through accurate problem triage
- Linux knowledge
- Telephony hardware experience
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Visio
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Project
- Strong understanding of relational database structure in the Spok environment
- Understanding of network infrastructure and how it affects Spok
- Previous supervisory experience a MUST
