What this job involves - In this role, you'll be the key point of contact for facilities management in a life sciences research environment. Working closely with the Operations Director, Account Leader, and Central Management Team, you'll ensure delivery of high-quality facility management services. Your responsibilities will include coordinating and managing tenant needs, overseeing service delivery, and maintaining tenant satisfaction.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Develops and implements innovative programs, processes and procedures that reduce short- and long-term operating costs and increases productivity.
  • Oversees the reporting requirements appropriately based on client needs.
  • Completes all facilities related reports accurately and on time following the client's policies for record keeping.
  • Manages the work assignments for building technicians, vendors, and contractors.
  • Leads facilities staff to deliver expected service levels to the client within the prescribed budget.
  • Assists with the development and implementation of the annual management plan for the buildings within the area.
  • Oversees the development and management of the capital and expense budgets by interfacing closely with the client representative.
  • Recommends capital improvements and prepares operating budget reports.
  • Prepares monthly operating budget & forecasts and completes monthly variance report.
  • Follows the annual performance plan; accomplish Key Performance Indicators as agreed with client in the Objectives of the Performance Agreement for the position.
  • Share innovations and best practices with the assigned owner of best practices for JLL Facilities Management.
  • Manage contractors when on site ensuring each contractor is following all client and JLL policies and ensuring the delivery of the service is completed correctly.
  • Oversee the overall service delivery of the contracted services.
  • Ensure all Client and JLL policies regarding delivery of service, safety and compliance are followed.
  • Potential travel to other local client locations.
  • Any/other duties as assigned, including potential off-hours support and client interaction/meetings.

Work Schedule:

  • Regular dayshift hours
  • Must be available for occasional after-hours on-call duties to address facility emergencies and urgent issues that may arise outside of regular business hours

Desired or preferred experience and technical skills:

  • Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) experience & a Certified Reliability Leader (CRL) certification is desired
  • IFMA certification preferred
  • DOT certification preferred
  • Candidates with experience in regulated environments, such as the pharmaceutical, medical research device, or other Life Science industry a plus

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Facilities Management with management/technical emphasis.
  • 6+ years industry experience required either in the laboratory environment, third party service provider, or as and Subject Matter Expert (SME)
  • Proficient in MS programs such as Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
  • Experience managing mailroom operations & shipping receiving
  • Computer proficiency in CMMS systems, preferably Corrigo
  • Matrix manages both technical and administrative staff
  • Effective communication and presentation skills
  • Strong leadership & management skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills

Estimated total compensation for this position:

110,000.00 - 159,500.00 USD per year

The total compensation range is an estimate and not guaranteed. An employment offer is based on an applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data .
