Position Summary |
This position provides various support functions to the Catering and Operations managers at the Tifton Campus Conference Center. The position assists with the setup of conferences, training sessions, meetings, etc. The work is routine manual work involving food production, food service operations and general facilities operations. |

- Experience in commercial kitchen operations
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions
- Understand and follow safety procedures
- Self-directed and able to work independently
- Friendly and courteous at all times
- Attention to detail
- Uses consistent good judgment
- Ability to handle knives and other sharp items in a safe manner
- Knowledge of ServSafe Certification

Catering & Kitchen Maintenance
- Assist catering manager with setting up and taking down breaks
- Set up buffet line with tablecloths, chafers, dishes and other items as needed by the caterer Prepare fruit trays
- Bake assorted pastries and cookies and arrange on trays
- Assemble sandwiches
- Keep all food and beverage items replenished as needed during events
- Clean and sanitize all areas of the kitchen and food service equipment. This includes, but is not limited to counters, sinks, table surfaces, slicing equipment, coolers, freezers, ovens, stoves, etc
