THE IMPACT

As the Senior Director, Industry Marketing, you will lead the strategy and execution of OpenText's go-to-market initiatives across key verticals-ensuring our messaging, campaigns, and content resonate with the unique needs of industry-specific buyers and decision-makers.

Reporting to the SVP, Product Marketing, you will drive vertical marketing alignment across product marketing, field teams, and marketing teams to deliver compelling narratives and measurable pipeline impact. You will lead a team of high-performing industry strategists and marketers to position OpenText as a trusted digital transformation partner in sectors such as Financial Services, Public Sector, Healthcare, Manufacturing, Retail and Energy and Utilities.

Your mission is to elevate OpenText's voice within industries, increase relevance and differentiation, and create value-based storytelling that accelerates market momentum.

WHAT THE ROLE OFFERS

  • Industry Marketing Strategy: Define and lead the development of the global industry marketing strategy across priority verticals. Align with corporate, GTM, product, and revenue objectives to ensure consistent and effective execution.
  • Team Leadership-Lead and experienced team of industry strategists and marketers, ensuring vertical expertise, cross-functional collaboration, and performance excellence.
  • Campaign & Content Development- Partner with product marketing, content strategists, and digital teams to create high-impact, assets, including messaging frameworks, vertical campaign assets, use-case content, and customer success stories.
  • Thought Leadership & Industry POV-Establish a strong industry-specific narrative by contributing to executive communications, keynotes, webinars, analyst briefings, and customer-facing content that positions OpenText as a category leader.
  • Sales Enablement & Field Activation-Deliver industry-specific tools, playbooks, and messaging to support field marketing, sales, and partner teams. Develop resources that enhance deal velocity and expand strategic engagement.
  • Strategic Account Support- Partner with our strategic account team to align relevant industry resources that can support vertically aligned go to market activities and customer engagements.
  • Customer Journey & Persona Mapping-Work with Content Strategy team to align marketing with buying cycles, pain points, and personas across industries. Tailor programs to meet the needs of technical buyers,business leaders, and influencers.
  • Market Intelligence & Insights-Monitor market trends, competitive landscape, and customer challenges. Feed insights into campaign development, messaging evolution, and product roadmap influence.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
* Experience: 12+ years of B2B enterprise marketing, with at least 5 years in a senior industry marketing or vertical strategy leadership role.
* Vertical Knowledge: Expertise in one or more OpenText-relevant industries (e.g., Financial Services, Government, Manufacturing, or Healthcare).
* Leadership: Proven ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
* Strategic Thinking: Demonstrated success in building data-informed, industry-aligned marketing strategies that drive revenue growth and market leadership.
* Go-to-Market Expertise: Deep understanding of solution marketing, buying cycles, sales enablement, and customer journey mapping.
* Communication: Strong storyteller and communicator with executive presence and the ability to simplify the complex.
* Collaboration: Adept at building relationships with sales, product, analyst relations, and partner marketing teams.
* Education: Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or related field required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
