About the Job

Gold Coats
For the upcoming Gopher Football Season, the Event Management Unit within the Gopher Athletics Department is looking to increase the level of service we provide to our fans on game days. In order to do so, we are implementing The G.O.L.D. Standard customer service initiative. As part of this initiative, we will be hiring approximately 50 - 75 GOLD COATS (Football Game Day Ushers) to service the seating bowl and select other areas of TCF Bank Stadium. The GOLD COATS will be assigned to the down aisles in each section of the stadium. Each usher will be assigned to the same section of the stadium every game, and will be available to greet fans, provide information and improve the overall game day experience for our fans. GOLD COATS will NOT be responsible for security enforcement.

Responsibilities as an Usher

* Check tickets as fans enter your section

* Help answer questions for fans

* Stop guests from walking down the aisle during play

* Keep aisles and walkways in your section clear at all times

* Enforce staff credentials access into certain areas

* Solve customer service related issues that may arise in your section

Qualifications

Qualifications
Must be 18 years of age or older
Must be able to stand for long periods of times
Must be willing to perform all job functions in the weather conditions present in an outdoor stadium as well as indoor venues
Ability to work events that take place on evenings and weekends
Willingness to work in the same location every game
Relatable hospitality, guest service, or other direct customer contact experience with heavy emphasis on providing an exceptional level of customer service and satisfaction
An energetic, positive, and self-motivated person

About the Department

The role of Student Assistants are to aid the Director of Event Management, Assistant Directors of Event Management, and the Event Management Assistants in various game day preparations, logistics, and final event presentations. Such events include Minnesota Golden Gopher Events, Big Ten Championships, NCAA Championships, and other external events such as high school tournaments and occasional professional sporting events.

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: $15.25; depending on education/qualifications/experience.
