Senior Microservices Developer

Responsible for the development, integration, and implementation of application software supporting mission-critical business applications within Facilities Experience Delivery Team. Utilize technical skills and expertise Microservice programming, Data engineering, and Cloud. Acquire and interpret business requirements, create functional specifications, and determine the most efficient and appropriate technologies based on client requirements. Provide technical consulting to management, business users, and technical associates and works closely with other developers. Responsible for implementing, or overseeing implementation of, approved architecture design. Perform complex programming assignments requiring an advanced aptitude of established programming standards, methods, and best practices. Design application and database components for development projects. This position requires 5% domestic and 5% international travel. This role is hybrid within a reasonable commuting distance of the Cleveland, OH office. Multiple openings available.

SPECIAL SKILLS: Also requires experience in the following:

• Five (5) years of IT experience;
• Five (5) years working on all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle;
• Five (5) years in Java, J2EE, JDBC or Hibernate;
• Three (3) years using Spring Boot and Spring Rest services;
• Microservices or service-oriented patterns, Cloud-Native architecture;
• API and Event-driven systems;
• Domain driven design in a distributed service environment;
• Service Mesh technologies;
• API gateway capabilities;
• Azure SQL and NoSQL database;
• Terraform script creation;
• Routing and messaging tools/patterns;
• Azure Cloud technology stack;
• Expertise in of command line git and of GitHub;
• Configuring application servers such as JBoss and Tomcat;
• Docker/Kubernetes platform;
• Creating automated build scripts (Ant/Gradle);
• CI/CD, DevOps; and
• Agile methodology and Jira tool.
