This role is part of Alcon's Marketing function, a team that helps provide access to products across all channels, including through traditional Marketing strategies, event planning, and professional education.
The Sr. Associate, Marketing Communications (Professional Path), is primarily responsible for conducting specialized tasks and independent research to enhance project outcomes, using advanced skills in the Marketing Communications field. Specifics include:
* Conduct independent research and analysis to support marketing communication strategies and make decisions within the scope of assigned tasks * Assist in the production and coordination of advertising and promotional materials * Manage logistics for in-store promotions, events, and brand merchandise * Evaluate the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and provide insights for improvement * Support the success of marketing initiatives and campaigns, contributing to achieving project goals through advanced skills and independent work In this role, a typical day will include:
- Lead marketing projects and promotional materials from concept to launch within scope, budget, and timeframe with an eye on maximizing marketing ROI.
- Collaborate with teams on new ideas, directions, tools, and communications, define, and agree on deliverables, execution and milestones with key stakeholders.
- Initiate and manage project starter and brief creative/production agency in design, copy, image, content needs in development of marketing materials, ensuring agency executes and delivers accordingly.
- Drive decisions and next steps to ensure successful completion of work.
- Route and own all materials for review and approval by regulatory, medical and legal stakeholders in the Review system to ensure compliance with established standards and policies/procedures including claims database and review items.
- Manage project timelines, production schedules, delivery of materials and assets.
- Negotiate with agency/vendors and lead agency/vendor selection for projects.
- Work with agency/vendor to establish quotes and estimates.
- Involve procurement as necessary.
- Champion assigned/associated budgets for individual tactics.
- Track and report project expenses and process invoices.
- Evaluate final production costs and conduct analysis Lead evaluation and impact of marketing tools and market environment.
- Build relationships with sales team to better understand market dynamics and better meet needs.
- Engage the sales force advisory board and conduct field-testing to gain alignment/feedback before implementing a project/spend.
- Identify needs and create assets accordingly.
- Measure effectiveness of tools and share with key stakeholders.
- Track and defend against competitive entries/initiatives.
Key Requirements/Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +10 yrs; Assoc.+6 yrs; M.S.+0 yrs)
- The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English.
- 2 Years of Relevant Experience
