Position description

Junior Specialist - Bahney Lab of Regenerative Therapeutics

The Bahney Lab of Regenerative Therapeutics in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery is seeking a Junior Specialist. The Junior Specialist will execute on NIH funded work in the laboratory working under the supervision of the PI and with the support of a Full Specialist and Post-doc in the lab.

The Junior Specialist job activities will include:



  • Histology
  • Histomorphometry
  • Supporting preclinical studies (husbandry, pre-op prep, surgical assistance, post op care, genotyping, specimen collection)
  • Molecular Biology assays
  • Maintaining a laboratory notebook


Required Qualifications:



  • Baccalaureate degree in an engineering field, biology, kinesiology/physiology, biochemistry or a related field, by the time of hire.
  • Applicant's materials must list (pending) qualifications upon submission.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Prior research experience.


See Table 24B for the salary range for this position. A reasonable estimate for this position is $55,000 - $58,600.
