Overview:
We are seeking an experienced
Advanced Electrical Engineer with a strong background in power electronics and military systems to support critical defense and
submarine-based programs. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in MIL-STD design compliance, power systems analysis, filter design, and circuit-level development, particularly within the scope of the Common Weapon Launcher (CWL) and other naval defense applications.
Key Responsibilities:

Design, analyze, and test military-grade power systems in compliance with
MIL-STD-1399 and
MIL-STD-461 standards. -
Develop and validate
power analog circuits,
AC/DC conversion systems, and
power distribution architectures. -
Perform measurements of electrical
noise, EMI/EMC testing, and signal integrity analysis for naval platforms. -
Design and implement
power filters and
control systems for AC and DC applications, including transient protection and filtering solutions. -
Support
60 Hz 3-phase delta power systems design and integration, including load balancing and fault analysis. -
Conduct hands-on circuit design and schematic development for submarine and weapon-launch subsystems. -
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical, systems, and software engineering to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems. -
Provide technical leadership on
Submarine CWL systems, including troubleshooting, system upgrades, and lifecycle support. -
Contribute to the generation of technical documentation, design reviews, and support qualification/certification processes.
Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. -
Minimum of 5 experience in electrical design and integration in
defense or aerospace environments. -
Proficient in interpreting and implementing
MIL-STD-1399 and
MIL-STD-461. -
Hands-on experience with
power analog circuitry,
AC/DC converters, and
filter design. -
Familiarity with
submarine systems and
CWL (Common Weapon Launcher) equipment and requirements. -
Experience working with
3-phase delta systems (60 Hz) and high-reliability circuit design. -
Skilled in using electrical simulation and design tools (e.g., SPICE, Altium, OrCAD, MATLAB). -
Strong understanding of
EMI/EMC testing, noise measurement, and signal integrity.
Required Skills / Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Science or Engineering or Mathematics.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with the engineering development life cycle, including concept, requirements, design, implementation, and test phases.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in analog and digital circuit design.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with lab equipment, including signal generators, high-speed oscilloscopes, and digital logic analyzers.
- Experience with MIL-STD-1399 and MIL-STD-461 design and qualification.
- Experience designing and debugging switch-mode DC-DC converters, including knowledge of control loop stability analysis.
- Experience designing and debugging 3-phase AC-DC conversion, including transformer design.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
- Master's Degree.
- Experience with firmware or microcontrollers.
- Experience with VHDL/Verilog.
- OrCAD Capture experience.
- Working knowledge of standard communication interfaces such as RS-422, RS-485, and LVDS.
- Proficiency in all PCB design phases, including creating high-level functional and architectural diagrams, SPICE analysis, power analysis, component selection, schematic entry, and working with the PCB layout team to optimize placement, signal integrity, and fitment.
- Good documentation and communication skills.
