Assistant or Associate Professor, Neurogenetics, Department of Neurology and theCenter for Human Genetics and Genomics, New York University Grossman School of Medicine. The Department of Neurology and the Center for Human Genetics and Genomics at NYU, a world-class patient-centered integrated academic medical center, has an exciting opportunity for you to join our faculty on the tenure-eligible academic track at NYU Langone Hospital-Manhattan. The ideal individual should have a significant academic research record with a major emphasis in the human genetics of neurogenetic disorders. This position emphasizes research but may include seeing outpatients or inpatients with neurogenetic disorders. Candidates with peer-reviewed federally funded research activity are preferred. The candidate should be interested in teaching medical and graduate students, neurology residents and fellows. The salary range listed is for full-time employment and does not include incentive compensation or benefits. Actual salary may not fall within the listed salary range; consideration will be made for experience, training, hospital/community needs, and other factors: $240,000 to $300,000. The position includes a generous research startup budget and state-of-the-art space in the new NYU Science Building adjacent to the Department of Neurology. NYU Langone Health Neurology and Neurosurgery are ranked first by U.S. News Best Hospitals in 2024-2025. The effective date of appointment will be 9/1/2025 or later. Candidates must be board certified in Neurology (ABPN) or board eligible with a strong interest in academic missions of the Department of Neurology (https://med.nyu.edu/departments-institutes/neurology/) and the Center for Human Genetics and Genomics (https://med.nyu.edu/centers-programs/human-genetics-genomics/). To qualify, you must have a MD-PhD or MD degree and be board certified or board eligible in Neurology and have special expertise in the area of neuro-genetics.
