The Departments of Dermatology has been a staple of the UCI Health System since 1979. Initially the department started with a few faculty and has now grown to include 18 full time faculty, 9 clinic locations, a Dermatopathology Lab which is actively expanding outreach, a diverse research portfolio, and a competitive residency and surgical fellowship program. As a whole, we strive to achieve our Mission: To enhance science and alleviate the burden of skin, hair, nail, and mucous membrane disease in our diverse population through cutting-edge research, top-level education, and clinical excellence. Your Role on the Team The Dermatology Admitting Worker (AW) is a critical front line position in a busy practice in south Orange county. The AW is the first contact of our patients when they come in the door, so their individual professionalism, friendly and accommodating personality is essential to the success of the Patient Experience. The AW provides customer service to all ages of patients who seek and obtain medical or cosmetic services from our internationally known doctors. The candidate is instrumental in facilitating patient flow in the clinic. The AW works with nursing and MDs to manage the day to day functions. The Dermatology Center focuses on patient care and safety, and the AW assists in maintaining these qualities.
