  • Base Pay Range:$75,275 to $109,553 per year based on experience

DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION



  • Coordinate new hire orientation, assess individual learning needs, coordinate the orientee's schedule with the preceptor's schedule, evaluate performance of the orientee and preceptor, monitor progress towards achieving competency, and evaluate and share performance with leadership. Ensure documentation of performance during orientation. Act as a resource and coach as needed.
  • Plan for ongoing staff education using the process of program planning consisting of needs assessment, goals, objectives, teaching strategies, evaluation of learning, evaluation of implementation in nursing practice, and achieving established competencies.
  • Plan, develop, facilitate, and evaluate the implementation of new nursing processes/practices.
  • Promote and achieve satisfaction of external and internal customers. Effectively intercede with families and patients and resolve concerns related to the delivery of health care services.
  • Provide patient care as required using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care to an assigned group of patients.
  • Provide patient care by maintaining standards of care utilizing the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice and the Code of Ethics for Nurses as the foundation for nursing practice and meeting the standards for regulatory requirements for state and federal agencies.
  • May complete unit/department-specific duties as outlined in department documents.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Missouri Board of Nursing RN or Nurse Licensure Compact multi-state RN. When primary state of residency changes, compact state RNs must apply under new state of residency within thirty (30) days.

One (1) year of operating room or surgery RN experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS



  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree.



  • Additional license/certification requirements as determined by the hiring department.
