VP, Business Development, Data Solutions

Job Description:

The VP, Business Development, Data Solutions will be responsible to spearhead the go-to-market strategy, establish and grow commercial partnerships, and contribute to the overarching strategy of this business unit. This high-impact role offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of healthcare data analytics, real-world data/evidence (RWD/RWE), health economics outcomes research (HEOR) and clinical research.
  • Lead the go-to-market strategy and execution for the company's strategic data partnerships, data syndication and PBRN offerings.
  • Identify, engage, and secure partnerships with life sciences companies, real-world data (RWD) aggregators, health tech organizations, CROs, and other potential data licensees or research sponsors.
  • Work closely with the executive team to refine business models, pricing strategies, and commercial approaches.
  • Develop strategic alliances that support both syndicated data licensing and research collaboration opportunities.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and with prospective partners to articulate the value proposition of our data assets and research network.
  • Collaborate with legal, compliance, and data privacy teams to ensure partnership structures align with regulatory requirements and company principles.
  • Provide market intelligence and feedback to guide product development and future strategic investments.
  • Contribute to thought leadership initiatives to position the company as a leading innovator in ambulatory real-world data and practice-based clinical research.
  • Perform other duties that support the overall objective of the position.
Education Required:
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Advanced degree (MBA, MPH, or related) preferred.
  • Or, any combination of education and experience which would provide the required qualifications for the position.
Experience Required:
  • 10+ years of experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or commercialization roles within healthcare data, health tech, life sciences, CROs, or clinical research ecosystems.
  • Proven track record of successfully structuring and closing commercial data licensing deals or research collaborations.
  • Experience navigating the legal, privacy, and compliance considerations involved in healthcare data commercialization and clinical research partnerships.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Knowledge of:Strong understanding of real-world data, real-world evidence, clinical trial site networks and enablers, and/or clinical trials.
  • Skill in:Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills. Strategic thinking skills.
  • Ability to:Ability to work cross-functionally with technical, legal, and executive teams. Execute and deliver results in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
