We're hiring a Sales Director on behalf of our client in Kansas City, MO-a purpose-driven leader with a passion for building strong business relationships and making a lasting community impact.
In this pivotal role, you'll help create meaningful employment opportunities for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) by developing partnerships with local employers. Your ability to identify business needs and offer effective, inclusive workforce solutions will directly support both community empowerment and employer success. The ideal candidate brings a proven background in business development, employer engagement, or workforce consulting, with exceptional communication and relationship-building skills. What You'll Be Doing: EMPLOYER PARTNERSHIP DEVELOPMENT * Engage employers to assess needs and offer tailored workforce solutions * Build long-term relationships with HR leaders, hiring managers, and C-suite executives * Collaborate with internal teams to align solutions with employer needs * Support employer partnerships that champion employment for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) STRATEGIC MARKET OUTREACH * Research and identify high-potential employer leads across sectors * Use platforms like LinkedIn to source and connect with decision-makers * Serve as a thought partner to employers on workforce trends, talent pipeline strategies, and inclusive practices * Attend Chamber of Commerce meetings and actively participate in other community outreach and networking events to expand visibility and build new relationship Key Competencies for Success: BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT & CONSULTING * Sales: 3+ years * Proven ability to prospect, pitch, and close partnerships with measurable results * Comfortable navigating multi-stakeholder sales cycles and complex partnerships * Strong understanding of workforce challenges and ability to offer impactful solutions * Highly organized and self-motivated with a track record of meeting goals * Strong project management skills, able to juggle multiple employer accounts and priorities * Operates independently but thrives in a team-based, mission-driven environment After you have applied, download our Staffmark Group WorkNOW App to receive real-time job offers and apply for additional opportunities.
