Responsibilities: (These duties are a representative sample; position assignments may vary.)

* Provides general administrative assistance to the Head of School and Assistant Principal in the execution of school operations related to the academic programs and services overseen by this position.

* Works with students, parents, staff, and leadership team members to discuss program recommendations and improvements.

* Engages students, parents, staff, and community as required for the duties of the position.

* Identifies and provides for the professional development of certificated staff.

* Assists in the development and prioritization of program planning required to support the Strategic Plan and other identified initiatives.

* Influences a culture conducive to continuous improvement for students and staff.

* Addresses implementing strategies to foster a sense of belonging and inclusion among students in line with the school's leadership program.

* May draft administrative procedures, practice or regulations to implement requirements of adopted policies.

* Assists in the interpretation and execution of the policies, administrative procedures, and regulations pertaining to the scope of the position.

* Collaborates with school personnel, state agency personnel and peers in other districts for the purpose of identifying effective services and/or programs.

* Coordinates program components for the purpose of delivering services.

* Designs program reviews and student assessments for the purpose of evaluating educational processes and providing feedback to administration for appropriate follow-up actions.

* Monitors assigned activities and/or program compliance including financial, legal, and administrative requirements for each of the assigned academic programs or services.

* Prepares and presents reports and presentations regarding academic programs, services and responsibilities to Administration, staff, parents, and others, including providing reports for OSPI and other agencies as required.

* Collaborates with school administrators for the purpose of supporting the learning needs of students within the context of the program responsibilities of the position.

* Collaborates with curricula departments, community stakeholders, business leaders, and academic institutions to strengthen current and create new and innovative student learning experiences.

* Oversee program budgets as required for the program responsibilities of the position for curriculum, field trips, docents, training, and additional programs.

* May be required to work irregular hours, including some evening requirements or an occasional weekend requirement. Calendar shared upon hire.

* Ensure the curriculum aligns with state standards, school goals, and best practices.

* Oversee the selection and implementation of instructional materials and resources.

* Lead curriculum mapping to ensure continuity and progression across grade levels.

* Support teachers in implementing effective instructional strategies.

* Promote differentiated instruction to meet diverse student needs.

* Introduce and support evidence-based teaching practices.

* Plan and deliver ongoing professional learning for teachers and staff.

* Facilitate instructional coaching, mentoring, and peer collaboration.

* Analyze teacher needs and tailor PD to address instructional gaps.

* Oversee the administration of formative and summative assessments.

* Analyze student performance data to inform instruction and identify trends.

* Guide teachers in using data to differentiate instruction and improve outcomes.

* Support the integration of technology tools to enhance learning.

* Provide training on digital platforms and instructional software.

* Work closely with principals, teachers, specialists, and parents.

* Communicate curriculum changes and instructional goals clearly.

* Ensure curriculum and instruction are culturally responsive and inclusive.

* Promote practices that support equity in student achievement.

* Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Candidates must pass required state and company background checks, and meet state and company minimum education and experience requirements:

Required:

* Bachelor's degree in education or related field

* Master's Degree in Curriculum & Instruction

* Minimum of five years of teaching experience in K-5 all subjects

* Minimum of three years of Curriculum and Instruction leadership experience

Preferred:

* Previous curriculum adoption experience

* Mentor Academy Certification

* Danielson Framework Certification

* Familiarity with 7 Habits of Highly Effective People

Physical Requirements:

This leadership role requires work in person in an elementary school to provide supervision, curriculum delivery, business management, and customer and client services per Chestnut Hill Academy at Bright Horizons' policies, procedures and guidance, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations, and in a manner that will ensure safety of children in Chestnut Hill Academy's care and the employee.

This role has a mixture of duties including office/computer/phone-based work, in-person supervision of care delivery and employees throughout all areas of the school, family/prospective family interactions which may take place in various areas of the school, and the ability to temporarily serve as a supervising caregiver for relatively brief periods of time on an as-needed basis (e.g., covering employee breaks or unscheduled absences).

Compensation:

The annual starting salary for this position is between $110,000 - $130,000 annually. The pay range listed here is what Bright Horizons in good faith anticipates offering for this job opening. Actual compensation offers within this range will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education and training, certifications, geography, and other relevant business or organizational factors.

Also, depending on hire date and subject to applicable eligibility requirements and accrual schedules, new employees in this role receive up to: 9 paid holidays annually; 40 hours of sick time per year based on full- time schedule, and 64 hours of vacation time per year based on full time schedule.
