Software Test Engineer (Datacenter)

This is a hybrid role located in San Jose, Ca. with expectations to be onsite/in the office 3 days per week.

Meet the Team

This is a role within hyper scaler/DCN switching. You will work on functional level testing and automation of Nexus 9000 line of Data Center switches You will work with a diverse group of some of the brightest problem solvers and thinkers in the Data Center Switching Team that work on next generation of Data Center & Cloud switches.

You have at least 5 to 8 years of Datacenter device test engineering experience with manual test and strong automation development skill (Python) and are looking for an opportunity to shine, in a team where you can thrive, one that recognizes your capabilities and rewards you accordingly.

You will be responsible for automation and feature test (routers/switches)

Minimum Qualifications

  • BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant field and 5+ years of experience working in Software Quality assurance in Datacenter related technologies
  • Demonstrated programming and scripting language experience with C/C++, Python.
  • Demonstrated Python automation experience in CI/CD based environments with exposure to Git
  • Experience in testing Layer 2/3/Vxlan on switching platforms
  • Experience building testbeds and executing test plan testing and logging defects
  • Hands on QA, Testing, and/or Debugging skills and troubleshooting issues in the environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • You possess a CCNA or CCIE (Datacenter/Networking/ Switching)
  • Experience in Layer2/Layer3/Multicast networking technologies
  • You have hands-on experience with the following datacenter technologies such as Servers, Virtualization, Networking
  • Knowledge of Linux, Networking concepts, OS fundamentals, AI/ML
  • Demonstrated knowledge in setup and configuration of datacenter hardware such as Server, Ethernet switch (Cisco Nexus) Selenium WebDriver
