Position Description About Us: TechSource, Inc. is a key partner in the PanTeXas Deterrence, LLC (PXD, Pantex) joint venture, which was awarded a $30 billion Management and Operating (M&O) contract by the U.S. Department of Energy's National Nuclear Security Administration (DOE/NNSA) to manage and operate the Pantex Plant. This contract was announced in June 2024 and will potentially be extended until 2044. About the role: We are looking for an Oracle Database Developer expertise to design, develop and deliver an analytical tool that will store and query historical and current information from various data sources into a data warehouse environment. You will develop reports and dashboards to provide easy, near real-time access to information to support daily decision making. This is a 6-month, contract role. United States citizenship is required for this role. Travel: You will work 25% onsite at PanTeXas Deterrence in Amarillo, Texas. Out-of-state candidates will be considered. All travel will be compensated for by TechSource. Responsibilities:
- Ideate, design, develop and maintain an Oracle database, applications and systems.
- Monitor and optimize database performance to ensure optimal application performance
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to the Oracle database and applications
- Implement database security policies and procedures to ensure integrity of the data
- Being up-to-date with new and emerging technologies in the Oracle environment
- Specify and implement software components needed to accomplish the importing, extraction, and query of the data warehouse
- Design reports and dashboards ensuring that data outputs support the accurate reputation and image of the organization
- Collaborate with data SMEs to develop software components, ensuring that critical deadlines are met
- Compile, consolidate, analyze, evaluate, and research data sources
- Research, edit and proofread technical data for us in documents or sections of documents, such as reports and dashboards
- Ensure technical data documentation is accurate, complete, and adheres to standards for quality graphics, format, and style
- Negotiate, develop, and meet schedules
- Consult with organizations and personnel involved in data development, processing, and distributing data outputs
- Participate in development team meetings, discussions, strategy formulation and presentations internal to the organization as well as external stakeholders
Required Experience:
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in Oracle development
- Proficiency in Oracle tools and technologies, including SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle Forms, and Oracle Reports
- Knowledge of other programming languages
- Problem solving and analytical skills with attention to detail
- An ability to travel to Amarillo, Texas for 25% of the work, with the remaining 75% remote
* United States citizenship is required for this role. Preferred:
- Active Top Secret or Q security clearance is strongly preferred
- Previous Department of Defense or Department of Energy experience
