Position Summary: The Enterprise Risk Analyst supports the Risk Management Officer (RMO) in executing and overseeing the bank's Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework. Key responsibilities include collaborating with various business units to guide their risk and control self-assessment efforts, documenting internal controls, assisting in risk evaluations, performing second-line control testing, and assisting with the bank's incident management program.

We are currently hiring for two Enterprise Risk Analyst roles, each with a specialized focus:



  • Enterprise Risk Analyst - IT & Operations
  • Enterprise Risk Analyst - Lending


Essential Functions:



  • Serves as a subject matter expert in focus areas (e.g., IT & Operations, and Lending), offering risk and control guidance while serving as a resource across all bank business units.
  • Assist in executing the bank's Second Line of Defense control testing program by evaluating internal controls, documenting and reporting findings, and collaborating with business units to address and remediate control weaknesses.
  • Support the execution of the bank's Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) program-including planning, implementation, monitoring risk responses, and reporting-while collaborating with and guiding the First Line of Defense throughout the process. Provide Second Line of Defense oversight by evaluating and challenging risk assessments and assessing the adequacy of controls.
  • Assist business units in identifying emerging risks or changes to existing risks within focus areas to ensure accurate risk identification, thorough assessment, and effective control remediation.
  • Manage the bank's incident management program by ensuring thorough and accurate documentation, supporting incident triage and classification, tracking response timelines, and working with business units to conduct root cause analysis and identify opportunities for process improvement.
  • Analyze and consolidate risk-related data to identify trends and insights; deliver actionable recommendations to management for risk mitigation, remediation strategies, and process enhancements.
  • Assist in preparing for the Enterprise Risk Management Committee and other risk-related committees by drafting agenda items, organizing supporting documentation, recording meeting minutes, and ensuring effective follow-up on action items.
  • Understand and adhere to all Bank policies, laws, and regulations applicable to the role. Complete compliance training. Follow internal processes and controls as required.
  • Report all compliance issues, violations of law or regulations in accordance with the steps defined in Bank policies.
  • Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position.
  • Perform or assist with other job-related duties or special projects as assigned.


Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of three years of banking experience in focus areas such as IT, Operations, or Lending.
  • Experience in risk management, audit, or compliance within the financial industry, or similar risk-related roles, is preferred.
  • Knowledge of risk and control identification and assessment.
  • Professional certification related to risk management is preferred and may be obtained within one year of hire date.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and bank hardware/software preferred or demonstrated ability to learn quickly.
  • Valid Nebraska driver's license.

Working Environment:

Indoor work - not exposure to outdoor elements or hazards.

Some sedentary work and occasional lifting and/or carrying up to 25 pounds.
