Mead & Hunt, an award-winning national architecture and engineering firm, has continued to exceed our strategic growth initiatives creating opportunity for our current and prospective team members. As a result, a full-time position is available for a senior project architect at any of the following office locations: Bloomington, MN; Madison, WI; or Chicago, IL. This position would lead project teams focused on delivering architectural services for aviation facility projects.

Responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating multi-disciplinary in-house and sub-consultant team members
  • Working closely with clients and contractor/developer design/build partners
  • Assisting the Project Manager with pursuing projects
  • Coordinating and leading project teams
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Developing and executing project workplans
  • Scheduling and facilitating team and client meetings
  • Developing and delivering presentations to clients, partners, and Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs).

A valid driver's license is required. As a national practice, this position is expected to travel up to 25%.

The successful candidate must have all the following:

  • A Bachelor of Architecture (or higher) from an accredited college or university
  • At least 12 years of relevant experience
  • Current architectural license in the state office is located

The ideal candidate will have any/all the following:

  • Experience with aviation projects, assembling construction documents, specifications, construction administration, and generating and developing design concepts
  • Strong mentorship skills
  • Experience leading teams and clients in all phases of project development
  • Experience leading architectural teams through bidding and construction administration phase services for aviation facilities
  • NCARB Certified
  • Business development experience is a plus - seeking out and following through on new project opportunities in coordination with a team
  • Experience leading architectural services for federal facilities projects is a plus.

Salary Range: $105,000 to $135,000 - Actual compensation may vary due to other factors such as: experience, skill set or location.
