Job Description:

Satair is looking for a Quality Conformance Manager to join our Quality Team in Dulles, Virginia.

The main mission will be to guarantee the conformity of a product/service to the quality requirements, and support the on time and on cost delivery by delivering right first time to increase customer loyalty.

For this, the jobholder will lead and drive the resolution of complex quality issues and continuous improvement projects / initiatives by setting the measurement standards and identifying/facilitating improvements to increase:

Your Challenges:

Primary Responsibilities:

Process: 40%

  • Own some local and global Processes and lead their related activities for the Quality perimeter

  • Process performance and product adherence to standards

  • Secure Reliability and Repeatability of processes, at initial design phase, before any process changes are made and continuously through the life of a product.

Performance: 30%

  • Lead and facilitate problem solving

  • Analyze and lead eradication of Non Quality (DRs, Customer Claims, ..) through Quality standards and Lean principles

  • Lead Quality Feedback Loops with our customers (internal and external)

Improvements and projects: 25%

  • Launch and lead projects (locally or globally) in relation to the Quality and Company Transformation ambition

  • Drive efficiency through digitalization transformation of our standards

Additional Responsibilities:

Other duties as assigned: 5%

  • Customer facing role for Quality related topics

  • Train/ coach Process operators

Your Boarding Pass:

  • Degree in Aeronautical or Industrial Engineering, a related discipline or having equivalent professional experience

  • 8+ years experience in an industrial area (Quality inspection, Warehouse management or similar field.)

  • Ability to Lead and drive the resolution of complex quality issues

  • Travel up to 20% Domestic and International

  • Able to work in US without current or future need for visa sponsorship

Knowledge, Skills, Demonstrated Capabilities:

Required

  • Aviation Quality requirements and standards

  • Problem solving methodology / 9S and statistics analysis

  • Lean principles / Airbus Operating System

  • Previous experience in Process and / or project management

  • Digital skills: Skywise, Google Suite (G-Form, G-Sheets, APP Sheet, ..), SAP. IT / Coding skills

Preferred

  • Knowledge of Airbus NoE, QSR, CAPRI processes and objects would be a plus

Physical Requirements:

  • Onsite or remote: Onsite ( To be agreed with Employee as per Local Policy and operational needs )

  • Vision: able to see and read computer screens and other electronic equipment with screens, able to read documents, reports and engineering drawings.

  • Hearing: able to hear to participate in conversations in person and via teleconference or phone and to hear sounds on the production floor including safety warnings or alarms.

  • Speaking: able to speak in conversations and meetings, deliver information and participate in communications.

  • Sitting: able to sit for long periods of time in meetings, working on the computer.

  • Standing: able to stand for discussions in offices or on the production floor.

  • Travel: able to travel independently

  • Walking (include routine walking such as to a shared printer to retrieve documents): able to walk through office and production areas including uneven surfaces.

  • Personal Protective Equipment required: Required PPE includes, but is not limited to, Safety Shoes, Safety Glasses, Hearing Protection, Respirators/Masks, and/or Protective Gloves as required by site and/or customer site

  • Administrative position only PPE required: Steel-toed shoes are required for all shop floor visits, appropriate hearing/eye protection may also be required when visiting the shop floor.
