Budgeted Salary Range: $22 per hour

ABOUT THE POSITION
Position Overview: The IEM Office Administrative Assistant reports to the IEM Events Assistant and is responsible for providing event and administrative support to IEM leadership and staff. The Institute for Engineering in Medicine is an umbrella organization that administers support for the Institute for Engineering in Medicine, Earl E. Bakken Medical Devices Center, Center for Neuroengineering, Visible Heart Laboratories, and ATP-Bio ERC.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Clinical Immersion Program (30%)
* Create certificates and name badges
* Assist with participant lunches
* Order supplies as needed
Other Event Support (25%)
* Provide on-site administrative support for IEM programs and events
* Assist with preparation for IEM events.
Office and Finance Support (45%)
* Complete financial training for EFS system access
* Assist with corporate card reconciliation
* Assist with IEM purchasing and supplier payments
* Track inventory of supplies for the office and events
* Provide front desk support at IEM.
* Complete special projects for IEM staff as assigned

Qualifications

All required qualifications must be included in the application materials

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Experience planning events with attendance of 100 or more people
* Experience working in an office setting
* Ability to communicate clearly, including asking clarifying questions
* Skilled in using Google Docs and Google Sheets to complete word processing and data entry tasks
* Professional and courteous demeanor

Preferred
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to handle multiple tasks, take initiative and work independently

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: $22.00 per hour; depending on education/qualifications/experience.
