Are you a professional in business process analysis with experience customizing and configuring Workday ERP systems to align with business requirements and ensure the smooth operation of these systems? Waukesha County is seeking an exceptional individual to work in the areas of Finance, Payroll, and Human Resources.

The ideal candidate will bring a track record of collaborating with stakeholders to improve business processes. Tasks include the day-to-day implementation Workday and its strategic development as a lead on the County's Workday Ownership Group.

About the Role:

  • Collaboration and Influence: Work with cross functional groups ranging from the C-suite to business process specialists and software engineers, to understand business processes and maximize Workday functionality and integrations with other business applications.
  • Develop: Define business requirements and customize/configure Workday to align with business requirements to meet customer needs and efficiency goals.
  • Improve - utilize work management and lean continuous improvement tools to solve problems and implement solutions.
  • Support: Provide support and training to ERP system users, help troubleshoot any issues that arise, and work on enhancements and system upgrades as needed.
  • Document: Document processes through digital content development, user manuals, and other related information for reference and training.
  • Customer Service Focus:Drive improvements, innovation, and return on investment resulting in high customer satisfaction among internal users and the users of County services.

What You Bring:

  • ERP system Proficiency: Advanced understanding of ERP software, its purpose, configuration, functions, and troubleshooting as gained through practical job experience.
  • Strong Business Process Knowledge: Practical human resources, payroll, and finance business process experience.
  • Communication Skill: Excellent communication skills to effectively work with stakeholders to mitigate risk and leverage opportunity, explain complex concepts, and train end-users.
  • Coordination and Collaborative Problem-Solving:A demonstrated history of successfully working with diverse stakeholders to address challenges, coordinate responsibilities within established timelines, and achieve anticipated results.

CLASSIFICATION SPECIFICATION

Minimum Training and Experience Requirements for ERP Specialist

1. Bachelor's Degree in human resources management, business administration, public administration, accounting, finance, information systems or closely related fields.

2. A Master's Degree in human resources management, business administration, public administration, accounting, finance, information systems or closely related field may be substituted for one (1) year of the work experience requirement.

3. Three (3) years of progressively responsible professional work experience in business/human resources administration at a leadership level or a closely related field, 2 years of which must include project management or business analysis responsibilities.

This position is authorized as a Principal Financial Analyst or may be underfilled as a Senior Financial Analyst.
