The Payment Cards Analyst I plays a key role within the American Red Cross Payment Cards Team, supporting the organization's Purchase and Travel corporate credit card programs. This position is responsible for ensuring compliance with internal policies and IRS regulations, auditing card activity, identifying and mitigating risks, and providing training and support to cardholders. The Analyst I also collaborates with cross-functional teams to enhance systems, streamline processes, and support enterprise-wide financial integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

Audit corporate card expenses to ensure compliance with IRS regulations and organizational policies.

Identify, investigate, and report non-compliance issues, potential misuse, and risks; recommend corrective actions.

Process and manage corporate card applications and account adjustments.

Develop and implement preventative risk control measures and detection methods.

Maintain and update database files, reports, and documentation.

Create and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and job aids.

Monitor and resolve delinquencies, past-due balances, duplicate payments, and credit balance refunds.

Provide high-quality customer service and guidance to cardholders and business partners with limit adjustments, system, issues, and inquires.

Design and implement workflow enhancements in Concur and PaymentNet.

Assist with the development of custom reports and dashboards using Power BI, Excel, or similar tools.

Lead initiatives to reduce overdue transactions and improve reconciliation timelines.

Support fraud prevention efforts and contribute to enterprise risk assessments.

Assist in preparing and presenting monthly metrics to leadership.

Ensure timely closure of corporate card accounts upon employee termination.

Respond to after-hours emergency requests and manage the on-call emergency phone as scheduled.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience.

Strong attention to detail and high degree of accuracy.

Excellent analytical, auditing, and problem-solving skills.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

High level of professionalism, tact, and diplomacy.

Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, Access).

Flexibility to work outside normal business hours as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Concur Expense, PaymentNet, or similar corporate card systems.

Familiarity with Oracle or other automated financial systems.

Experience developing complex queries and reports using Microsoft Access or Power BI.

PAY INFORMATION:
The starting annual salary range for this position is $52,000 - $58,000. We do not offer an annual bonus for this role. Note that American Red Cross salaries are aligned to the specific geographic location in which the work is primarily performed. Other factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, how many years of experience you have and comparison to other employees already in this role. **We will review specific salary information at the time of phone screening based upon your location & experience.**
