  • Assignment Information:
    Our Coordinator of Accounting and Audit is a full-time, full year position.
    The terms and conditions of this position are covered by an individual contract.
    Salary range of $105,000-$115,000 with actual placement being dependent on qualifications with regionally competitive benefit package.

    Job Responsibilities:
    1. Ensure all actual revenues and expenditures that have been budgeted are properly recorded in accordance with Uniform Financial Accounting Records System requirements and Governmental Accounting Standards Board requirements.
    2. Coordinate the District's banking relationship with serving banks, including ensuring sufficient funds are available to meet all payroll and accounts payable requirements, and that payment transfer for accounts payroll and payroll are completed in a timely manner.
    3. Coordinate the District's annual audit, including preparation of workpapers, ongoing maintenance of proper records, and production of records to meet audit requests, and produce the annual Comprehensive Annual Financial Report.
    4. Prepare monthly bank reconciliation.
    5. Supervise the activities of the Accounts Payable Clerk, Accounting Clerk, and Bursar.
    6. Supervise input of data and ensure accuracy of UFARS in MDE SERVS Financial Reporting System.
    7. Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.

    Job Qualifications:
    1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting
    2. Evidence of successful work record in either public education or public accounting.
    3. CPA preferred but not required
    4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and a commitment to teamwork
    5. Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with coworkers, supervisor, and the general public sufficient to exchange or convey information and to receive work direction from the Executive Director
