SECRET CLEARANCE REQUIRED SECURIITY + CE CERTIFICATION REQUIRED Location: Radford, VA DESCRIPTION: This position is for a Storage Administrator for a mixed environment of storage networks, consisting of multiple brands of network-attached storage, and fiber channel storage, and fiber channel switches. To be successful in this role, the candidate will be required to manage, maintain, deploy, troubleshoot and support customers accessing storage services. Key Responsibilities: Responsible for design of new and existing installations, the configuration, security and maintenance of highly available enterprise data storage systems Skilled at proactive monitoring of the ongoing operation of storage systems and providing utilization reports to identify problems and corrective actions as needed Observing performance on FC network and NAS attached storage systems, troubleshoot any performance problems and apply near term fixes that result in long term solutions Refresh data from one environment to another at the request of the application or service owner customers Provide input for, and develop documentation/standard operating procedures (SOP) that result in repeatable processes for installation and setup and all artifacts that support the rational; -the how and why we did it this way- Develop and publish team vetted storage standards and policies as needed Follow ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) practices for Change Management Interpersonal Traits:* A team mindset Strong communication skills, written and oral Desire to learn the storage environment Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $73.00/hr.
