The Team:
The Global Commercial & Operations team provides legal support to Mattel's sales, global supply chain, procurement, real estate, and other commercial and operations teams, and has responsibility for various regulatory and compliance matters.
The Opportunity:
We're seeking a motivated, conscientious and talented contracts administrator/paralegal with demonstrated skills in supporting a wide variety of legal matters. This position is part of the Global Commercial & Operations team of Mattel's Law Department.
What Your Impact Will Be:
- Support a wide variety of legal matters for the Global Commercial & Operations team with particular emphasis on Mattel's customer retailer agreements, wholesaler agreements, sales representative agreements, e-commerce agreements and other customer agreements.
- Support of disputes or issues with customers, distributors or sales partners, pricing issues and various regulatory and compliance matters.
- As the need arises or over time to develop broader expertise, the position will have the potential to branch out into other areas, including supply chain, procurement, real estate, and certain compliance related matters, as well as special projects.
- This individual will have frequent and direct contact with Mattel internal stakeholders (most notably, Mattel's sales team), as well as periodic contact with outside counsel and third parties.
- This individual will report to the Senior Counsel of the Global Commercial & Operations team but will be required to actively manage multiple matters simultaneously while also timely responding to day-to-day questions and issues.

- Provide timely responses to issues and questions arising on a daily basis;
- Communicate effectively in person and in writing with attention to detail;
- Organization skills, including planning, prioritization and time management;
- Ability to work as part of the Law Department and Company team;
- Maintain a professional demeanor, in writing and in person, with support staff, management, and outside counsel; and
- Work cooperatively with colleagues around the world.
Experience
A minimum of 3 years as a contracts administrator or paralegal with pertinent experience at a law firm or a company law department working on agreements and transactional matters and ideally, with experience in the matters described above.
Education
Bachelor Degree preferred
The base hourly rate for this position is between$37.69 - $47.12.
