Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Assistant to Course Instructor.

In this role, the Per Session Assistant to Course Instructors assist CAMS Course Instructors at the New York University College of Arts and Sciences. Per Session Assistant to Course Instructors support CAMS Course Instructors in the implementation of the curriculum and provide supervision and instructional support to students in the form of weekly recitation sessions and assistance of their achievement outside of the classroom. All Per Session Assistant to Course Instructors teach under the direct supervision of the CAMS Course Instructor and of the Director of Undergraduate Studies for CAMS Jess P Shatkin MD MPH.

Job Responsibilities:

• Regularly communicate with the course instructor and with the CAMS coordinator and CAMS Department Director as needed
• Per Session Assistant to Course Instructors commit to conducting a weekly 75 minute recitation session which will supplement a semester long NYU undergraduate lecture class
• Provide opportunities for student advisement and office hours
• Perform managerial organizational and instructional tasks as the instructor sees fit
• Assist with grading of assignments and exams and managing correspondence attendance and the course Blackboard Website

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Completion of all required credits needed to obtain an undergraduate degree Extensive academic experience in psychology or related areas and substantial knowledge of the subject matter they teach

Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced terminal graduate degree eg MFA MPH MSW etc

Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $20.00 - $20.00 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need.
