Requisition ID req33643 Working Title Counselor/Social Worker,Sr Position Grade 14 Position Summary The University of New Mexico Student Health and Counseling (SHAC) is seeking applicants for a Counselor/Social Worker, Sr. position. The person in this position: Provides or oversees the provision of a wide range of professional social and/or mental health services which may include: psychosocial evaluations/assessments, interventions, diagnostic, counseling therapy, crisis intervention, and/or case management services in a high-intensity clinical environment which requires a high degree of independent decision-making. Provides clinical supervision, guidance, training, debriefing and leadership to other mental health/health care professionals, students, and interns engaged in related activities. Student Health and Counseling (SHAC) is a comprehensive health service available to all currently enrolled UNM students. SHAC is located North of Johnson Center and across from the Student Union Building. It is open Monday through Friday and is closed on all UNM holidays. Services include medical appointments (scheduled and same day), pharmacy, women's and men's health, allergy and immunization, medical specialty clinics, physical therapy, lab and x-ray, travel health clinic and counseling services, as well as health education, prevention, and promotion. Minimum Qualifications Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, or an equivalent field; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Certification/Licensure: Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) or equivalent OR Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or equivalent OR licensure pending, as documented by temporary license. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis. Preferred Qualifications
