Church & Dwight is seeking an entrepreneurial, solutions oriented and financially minded individual that shares a passion for recognizing and developing new business opportunities. The Amazon Team Leader, eCommerce is responsible for managing our 3P Amazon business as well as lead holistic marketplace strategy & execution for other customers. The ideal candidate for the position will possess a wide range of eCommerce knowledge and skills, as they are responsible for performing a variety of tasks as a pivotal member of the sales team. This leader, eCommerce Marketplace will develop and implement strategic initiatives while incorporating consumer needs, marketing initiatives, new product development, packaging, and supply chain innovations to drive the overall performance and health of our brand portfolio. Managing seller central is a key core competence of the role as this individual will manage all activities related to sales of one of our most iconic brands (HERO Cosmetics) with our largest eCommerce customer.

This position reports to Director, Connected CommerceMarketing and will work closely with the extended eCommerce team including Customer Strategic Planning, Digital Marketing, Sales Finance, Brand Marketing, Supply Chain, IT and various contracted agencies. He/She will have 2 direct reports. One direct report supporting the hero amazon business and another direct report supporting overall marketplace management/buybox defense.

I. Core Responsibilities

Strategic Planning & Execution:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive Amazon marketplace strategy
  • Fundamental to drive success aligned with Hero Cosmetics' overall business objectives and Church & Dwight Critical Success Drivers.
  • Identify growth opportunities, shopper trends, and competitive analysis to inform strategic decisions for innovation, promotional planning, and Amazon best practices.
  • Evaluate current 1P CHD business and make recommendations on what other brands besides HERO should be managed and commercialized as 3P to ultimately drive more profitable growth. Responsible for managing those CHD brands long term.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Amazon strategies into the overall Hero sales plan.
  • Overseeing and and helping to triage marketplace seller issues including brand/IP infringement issues, brand registry, diversion, and counterfeit enforcement. Including a focus on ensuring clear ways of working and an active partnership with sales and brand partners as well as Brand Protection team.
  • Own and actively review agencies, tools, and technology for managing 3p marketplace and business (ie Potoo, Pattern, Gray Falkon, etc) including seller partnerships and enforcement of authorized seller policies
  • Evaluate innovation and test and learn opportunities that might be suited for 3P launch in partnership with GNPI
  • Leverage mastery of marketplace tools and data to identify consumers willing to pay and stay.
  • Lead overall Marketplace Strategy & Execution for other customers including all demand generation and fulfillment initiatives to accelerate growth

Sales and Revenue Generation:

  • Drive sales growth on the Amazon platform by optimizing product listings (PDP Copy, Images, A+ Content), pricing strategies, and promotional activities (Lightning Deals, Best Deals, Prime Exclusive Discounts)
  • Develop and implement Sponsored Ads strategy to drive incremental sales, increase AOV, and maximize Return on Ad Spend
  • Develop Amazon DSP strategy in coordination with our current Amazon Agency
  • Lead and maintain the Amazon Marketing Cloud reporting objectives for Hero Cosmetics (and other potential brands)
  • Report Amazon Ads and Amazon Sales performance to Hero and CHD leadership teams, including weekly, bi-weekly, and quarterly results against baseline KPIs
  • Actively manage sku prioritization strategy to drive sales and sustainable profit growth and consumer LTV.

Operations Management:

  • Work cross functionally with the Director of Operations for day-to-day operations related to Amazon, including inventory management, listing uptime, and FBA replenishment
  • Partner with Demand Planning Manager for SKU-level demand planning and inventory forecasting.

II. Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.

Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in e-commerce, with a focus on Amazon marketplace management. Proven track record of successfully driving sales and revenue growth on the Amazon platform. Previous experience in a leadership role, preferably as a Director or Head of Amazon/Ecommerce/Marketplace.

Industry Knowledge:

  • Deep understanding of the cosmetics and skincare industry, including compliance documentation.
  • Familiarity with Amazon's policies, algorithms, and best practices.
  • Comfort in leading strategic agency direction.

Technical Skills:

  • Expert in using Amazon Seller Central and related tools, such as Helium10, Perpetua, PacVue, DataHawk, GETIDA, and other comparable SaaS integrations.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Experience with e-commerce analytics and reporting tools.

III. Skills

Leadership and Communication:

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team, especially as it relates to customer innovation and ad product releases.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with internal teams and external partners.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $162,800 - $254,700. This position is also eligible for a bonus.

U.S. employees are entitled to paid holidays, floating holidays, and vacation days starting in their first year of employment depending on hire date. The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal pay parity. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
