Summary of the Job:

The Secondary Marketing Analyst is responsible for accurate trading and hedging strategies for the successful placement of assigned mortgage loans and portfolios. This role will market these loans to individual investors and or government agencies for generating revenue and reducing risk. This role will focus on the mortgage pipeline, work within the appropriate and assigned pricing models as well as provide necessary updates to key stakeholders within Mortgage Sales.

Key Accountabilities:

Assist Manager in leading responsibilities for mortgage pipeline hedging.

  • Ensure accuracy of assigned pipeline pricing and sale timelines
  • Maintain position within policy limits
  • Analyze market conditions and formulate strategies to achieve best execution and margin gain
  • Perform work and priorities assigned of secondary marketing operations related to sale and settlement of loans.

Conduct analysis of Mortgage Sales Secondary Marketing best practices and competitive intelligence to facilitate the development of Business Case Proposals (BCP's) to increase operational efficiency and/or revenue/profitability.

  • Maintain a set of performance metrics assigned.
  • Monitor/adjust as needed, track and develop reporting as scheduled.

Provide recommendations relating to pricing strategy, policies and enforcement ensuring margin returns and success within our markets.

  • Implement and monitor enforcement of pricing methodologies from a compliance and margin perspective for all responsible areas.
  • Maintain and help develop all necessary pricing models
  • Assist in developing bids and requests for proposals.
  • Ensure daily price setting and activity meet predetermined margin targets and goals.
  • Provide accurate and timely pricing decisions and rate sheets to the organization.
  • Responsible for development and maintenance of risk management models including pricing models.

Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of assigned applications/systems.

  • Monitor systems to control pipeline and interest rate risk.
  • Train and provide system subject matter expertise for utilized technologies to both new and existing departmental personnel.
  • Participate in the development of system/process enhancement plans
  • Discuss current system(s) issues and assist in analyzing pipeline mortgage data.
  • Train new employees and cross-train existing on all Roles and functions and compliance/regulatory requirements/changes.

Compliance: Ensure subordinates are trained and comply with bank policy, laws and regulations applicable to their roles. (Ongoing)

  • Understand and adhere to all bank policy, laws and regulations applicable to role.
  • Complete compliance training: follow internal processes and controls as required.
  • Report all compliance issues, violations of law or regulations in accordance with the steps defined in the FNBO Compliance Accountability Program.

The Ideal Candidate for This Role:

Required

  • Minimum 3 years secondary marketing experience, pipeline hedging or related activities
  • Capital markets experience including mortgage
  • Undergraduate in Business Finance, Accounting, or related degree and experience
  • Strong Understanding and Application of Financial Markets and Risks
  • Demonstrated experience using SQL or other relational database applications
  • Ability to work in a consultative capacity with different departments

Desired

  • MBA/Graduate degree in related field

Compensation:

Compensation range (base pay): $62,047.00-$102,377.00

This role may have a specific starting pay within this range.

Final compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon work experience, education, and/or skill level.
