AP seeks a Quality Engineer to support the Region Quality initiatives by taking ownership and facilitating the administration of the Feedback Portal (Concern complaint record/Lessons learned) and administer the Project Quality program effectively ensuring predictability in various phases of the projects. Key Job Responsibilities:

  • The Project Quality Manager functionally reports to the Americas Quality Manager and administratively reports to the Project Delivery Manager and is responsible for the following,
  • Taking ownership and accountability for the implementation of the AP's Project Quality Plans and Construction Quality Program (CQP) for contract compliance by closely working with E, P and C teams,
  • Supervise and conduct periodic audits of AP Project Quality Plan elements, supplier and contractor quality control procedures and construction practices for contract compliance, issue Corrective Action Requests (CAR) and ensure their timely closure,
  • Ensure that all suppliers and contractors implement and follow a Project approved Inspection and Test plan for their respective inspection activities in compliance with Project requirements, Codes and standards etc,
  • Manage review of multi-discipline inspection and testing documentation received from the suppliers and site contractors and ensure all ITP elements are complete and approved,
  • Issue Non-conformance reports (NCR) to the suppliers and contractors for work that fails to meet the requirements of the project drawings or specifications and ensure follow through of the same,
  • Ensure provision of Project quality slide and Monthly quality summary report of Project QA/QC activities to the Americas Quality Manager,
  • Work closely with Document control and ensure that the turnover package documentation is complete in all respects with the project drawings and specifications,
  • Conduct quality training for project site construction quality team through "Reading for Understanding" sessions,
  • Conduct quality training sessions with contractors/subcontractors as required to ensure the project quality requirements are clearly understood and implemented,
  • Ensure projects are staffed with qualified QA resources to support quality needs.

Minimum Hiring Requirements:

  • Prefers Bachelor's in engineering
  • 20 yrs+ experience in EPC industrial construction projects
  • People skills and good communication skills
  • AWS CWI or SCWI or API 510/570 welding certification preferred
  • ASNT Level II NDT certification in RT film interpretation, UT, MT, PT preferred
  • Auditing skills/experience in accordance to ISO standards
  • Good track record of success in safety, quality, quality planning, and metrics tracking and working with contractors/suppliers
