Description
The HR Benefits Administrator is responsible for all day to day and annual operations of coordinating, administering and communicating employee benefit programs. In addition, this role will collaborate with HR Leadership on the design and implementation of employee benefit plans ensuring our employee needs are met and aligned with our workforce investment strategy. The HR Benefit Administrator will be the point of contact for supporting employees with questions related to benefit enrollment decisions during life events, open enrollment, COBRA or upon hire. In addition, they will collaborate closely with benefit vendors from the contact negotiation process to implementation, as well as ongoing communication ensuring service standards are met. This role will collaborate with vendors supporting group medical, dental, vision, life, short term/long term disability insurance plans; flexible spending plan, 401(k), and EAP. Location: Candidates must reside in the state of Wisconsin for consideration. This position is eligible to work at your home office (reliable internet is required). Travel to the corporate office in Menasha will be required occasionally for the position, including on first day. Hours: 1.0 FTE, 40 hours per week, 8am-5pm Monday through Friday

- Appropriately apply all organizational and regulatory principles, procedures, requirements, regulations, and policies
- Responsible for day-to-day administration of all Network Health employee benefit programs including but not limited to health, dental, life and vision along with retirement plans and other employee perks. This includes managing contract negotiation, ongoing communication and service level expectations.
- Manage life events and open enrollment by auditing/approving the benefit transactions made by employees in the HRIS system.
- Collaborate with payroll to ensure accurate file feeds and premium processing for employees. Ensure all integration files are completed on time and accurately. Review and approve adoption assistance, tuition reimbursement and non-FSP medical plan reimbursements for processing through payroll.
- Service as the back-up for work comp, FML administration, personal leave of absence requests and ergonomic assessments as needed within the team.
- Partner with vendors, legal and HR leadership to ensure all sponsored benefit plans are administered in compliance with federal, and state laws included but not limited to ACA, ERISA, HIPAA and COBRA.
- Maintain up-to-date benefit documentation for employees to reference. Collaborate with legal counsel or vendors as necessary for updates to plan summaries, plan changes, benefit guides and other enrollment materials.
- Lead internal benefit audits, serving as the point person for any external audits related to benefits including the 401(k), 401(k) discretionary contributions, or nondiscrimination testing.
- Assist with timely and accurate legal filings (5500s) and delivery of legally required communications.
- Lead the implementation and communication of new benefit plan vendors or benefit plan enhancements through presentations, emails, intranet, and one-on-one consultations
- Provide guidance, research, and complete initial discovery on trending benefits for implementation consideration to HR and Senior Leadership
- Conducts employee benefit surveys as necessary. Analyzes employee feedback for recommendations on benefit enhancements.
- Serve as the point of contact for benefit questions for new hires or existing employees. This may be related to questions on benefit plans and eligibility for elections during open enrollment, life events or upon hire.
- Collaborate with HR Leadership to coordinate and execute annual open enrollment, including employee presentations, research of recommended benefits, and updating all employee communications.
- Assist with the build, testing, and rollout of open enrollment in HRIS system. This includes testing new features, creating new integration files and reviewing rate updates to ensure a successful and accurate annual open enrollment.
- Participate in additional cross-functional projects as needed within the organization as it is related to the employee benefit experience

Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business or 8 years of human resources experience
- Five years HR experience with at least three years in a benefits related position
- Experience with FML/WFML, PPACA and ERISA required
- Experience working with self-insured plans preferred.
- Experience with UKG and UKG Benefits Administration preferred.
- CEBS preferred
