Responsibilities

Job Description:

The Software Developer will provide website and applications development and maintenance support for the Special Operations Command (SOCOM) located on MacDill AFB in Tampa, Florida.

Job Duties Include (but not limited to):

The successful candidate must be able to work independently, and in a collaborative environment supporting new code development and implementations, updates, troubleshooting, and bug fixing.



Qualifications

Required Skills & Experience:

    A minimum of 7 years experience with object-oriented programming languages, relational databases, programming concepts and development toolkits
  • Minimum 3 years of web development (.NET, JavaScript, bootstrap, Nodejs, html5, CSS)
  • Experience working with IIS, Apache Web Servers
  • Experience creating web services/Web API's
  • Experience with MVC/MVVM architecture
  • Extensive background in full life-cycle support of the software development process, including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, and maintenance
  • Detailed knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, C#, and JavaScript
  • Web UI/UX libraries
  • Ability to model/ design and mantain Relational Databases
  • Knowledge and experience using third-party SDK's
  • Experience working in small teams as well as indepedently
  • Ability to scope large elements of projects and calculate estimated delivery
  • Experience communicating pros and cons of alternative solutions to customers; avoiding unnecessary complexity; suggesting creative, breakthough approaches
  • Ability to learn, diagnose and implement features and bug fixes
  • Ability to coordinate with tech leads and software engineers working on related deliverables
  • Experience with coding patterns and best practices
  • Skills with debugging techniques and ability to find root causes of mysterious problems
  • Ability to solve difficult problems
  • Ability to communicate ideas and develop strategy through presentations, demonstrations, and specifications
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and assignments and meet deadlines
  • Due to US Government Contract Requirements, only US Citizens are eligible for this role.

  • ArcGIS JavaScript API
  • Dojo
  • ArcGIS Enterprise
  • ArcGIS (Arc Objects, ArcPro)

Education & Certifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Programming, Application Development or a relaqted discipline, or the equivalent combination of professional training or work experience (7 years as a .NET programmer).

Security Clearance:

  • Active U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Top Secret (TS) Secret Compartmented Information (SCI) security clearance (TS/SCI). SCI eligibility will be considered. Can be Secret to start.
