The Food Service Assistant performs a variety of food service operations to include food preparation, serving, cashiering at elementary, middle, or high school sites. Maintains facility in a sanitary condition and adheres to health department codes. Full time status ranges from 6 8 hours daily; part time status ranges from 3 - 5.5 hours daily (Position requires no nights, weekends or holidays) The salary range is $17.88 - $23.78 hourly Applications for this position are being accepted by the Office of Human Resources through Wednesday, June 25, 2025. Physical Demands: Majority of the work is performed by standing or walking. The work requires using hands for simple grasping, pushing and pulling. The work at times requires bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, reaching with the ability to lift, carry, push or pull heavy weighted items. Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds. The work requires activities involving exposure to changes in temperature and humidity. Other Information
THE SELECTION PROCESS: will be job related and will consist of one or more of the following: education and experience evaluation; written, oral or performance tests; or other assessment methods. The Office of Human Resources reserves the right to call only the most qualified candidates to oral and performance examinations. Oral examinations may include written exercises.
