Join our team as a Site EHS Specialist, where you will play a pivotal role in developing and maintaining a safe and environmentally compliant work environment. Your expertise will be crucial in identifying local organizational EHS needs and ensuring the effective implementation of EHS programs and procedures. Working under the general direction of the local EHS Manager or senior operations management, you will take personal responsibility for your outputs, knowing when to escalate issues to higher levels within the organization. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include performing technical work related to regulatory requirements, participating in assessments and audits for compliance, and monitoring site-specific procedures to support environmental, health, and safety compliance. You will also develop your skills and knowledge in EHS regulatory requirements, ensuring seamless integration into your job duties. Furthermore, you will be tasked with maintaining environmental, health, and safety programs, tracking critical audits, permits, and associated activities. Data collection and performance measurement will be a significant part of your role, providing valuable insights through metrics scorecards and timely reports to management. You will participate in root cause analysis and monitor corrective actions on significant EHS-related incidents, maintaining OSHA 300 Log and submitting injury data monthly to the Corporate EHS Department. Collaboration with internal and cross-functional partners will be essential, as will supporting and implementing team member training and education programs related to EHS compliance and incident prevention. As a Site EHS Specialist, you will engage in the Management of Change review process, Pre-Start Safety Reviews, and maintain SDS documents and hazardous material inventories. You will conduct site inspections of contractor construction activities, coordinate with project managers, and participate in programs to obtain or maintain third-party certifications. Additionally, you will perform fundamental environmental and industrial hygiene monitoring as directed by the EHS Manager or specialists in these fields.
