Who is Senior Aerospace AMT/Damar?

We are a manufacturer of structural parts for the leading original equipment manufacturers (OEM's) in the large business and regional jet markets. Our experience and capabilities span multiple segments of an aircraft, including the engine pylon, struts, wing box, wings, wheel well, and the interior. What does the job involve?

The Contracts Coordinator (CC) is the main focal for the Contract Review process and Customer Order administration. The CC Acts as contract liaison between internal departments, staff management and the Customer to help resolve contractual related issues. Reviews and distributes customer Purchase Orders and appropriate Purchase Order changes, and serves as the focal point for data entry of new customer orders and change orders; PO or POC activity, Payment discrepancies, Re-order Lead-times, RMA's, and Work Transfers. Assists the Program Management with special projects, reporting, and other miscellaneous tasks as required. Trains Contract Administration personnel on Contracts and Purchase Order related functions.

What will my responsibilities include?



  • Manages and maintains the Contracts Review log and assists with Contracts Comparison Matrix
  • Efficiently manages the review, comparison and analysis of contractual documents for the purpose of maximizing financial and operational performance and minimizing risks
  • Collaborates with Staff and Department Managers to ensure flow down and compliance of contractual requirements through the Contract Review process to better assess and mitigate potential risks
  • Coordinates Contract Review Meetings as required
  • Develops and implements process improvements related to Contract Administration
  • Create, update and maintain Department work instructions as related to Contracts and Program Administration
  • Monitors Customer portals for new and change Purchase Orders
  • Determines whether a Purchase Order (PO) or PO change is based on a new quote or a term part and verifies that the PO meets the terms and conditions of the Long Term Agreement (LTA), quote and/or Contract
  • Submits purchase orders inside lead-time to Program Manager for review and approval or counter offer to Customer
  • Enters the finalized customer purchase order data or data changes in the Enterprise Resource Planning (MRP) system. Submits PO acknowledgements to Customer
  • If required, able to take over from Program Manager in the management, flow and communication on configuration changes
  • Creates end item part numbers ERP system
  • Assists Program Managers and Director of Program management, as needed, in the review and documentation of Term Claims. This can include facilitating and compiling information and submit to customer, tracking customer response and elevation if required
  • Retrieve from Customer and distribute customer forecast data, DMR's, Bulletins, Reports, Etc. as applicable
  • Coordinate with Program Management, Operations, Procurement and Customer as required for updating purchase and manufacturing ROLT's for distribution to the customer and updating in ERP system
  • Periodic reconciliation of Customer Open Orders to AMT MRP data. Resolve any discrepancies with Customer. Elevate to Program Manager as required
  • Coordinates return of discrepant parts, creates return material authorization in ERP system and communicates information internally and to Customer
  • Manages Work Transfer process and notifications to Customers. Track Customer responses and notifies Procurement when Customer acknowledgement/approval is received. Maintains electronic records of Work Transfer communication
  • Researches and resolves more complex accounting issues from customer debits. Initiates credit memo's as required
  • Follows all safety guidelines established by the Damar Aerosystems, including proper use of safety equipment and relevant safety procedures
  • Maintain accurate historical records of appropriate items using appropriate AMT process/system (CIR, Pricing Quotes, Contract negotiations, etc.)
  • Assist Program Management with Contracts and Business Development tasks as required

  • Collaborates and cooperates with other Departments within the Company to meet customer specifications and timelines


What qualifications should I have?

Preferred:



  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Minimum One year as Program Administrator, Contracts Administrator or equivalent
  • High school diploma
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Operations Management.
  • ERP/MRP familiarity
  • Experience in Aerospace manufacturing environment
  • Experience in Contract Administration
