Senior Manager, Supply Chain Optimization

Utz Quality Foods is seeking a Senior Manager, Supply Chain Optimization to join our team. The Sr. Manager Supply Chain Optimization will play a pivotal role in driving strategic initiatives across the supply chain. Your responsibilities include leading complex projects to optimizing network capacity, advanced scenario modeling, and enhance visibility to supply chain performance. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, define KPIs, and leverage data-driven insights to achieve shared optimization goals. Additionally, you'll develop reporting tools, and provide real time and actionable visibility to supply chain network performance.

Responsibilities



  • Lead and deliver cross-functional projects, critical to our strategic supply chain objectives, including initiatives related to network optimization, capacity utilization, insourcing, and new manufacturing assets within our supply chain network - manufacturing through distribution.
  • Define metrics, develop program management mechanisms, and establish processes to drive decision-making in complex network capacity situations.
  • Identify and deliver operational improvement opportunities in network optimization, focusing on inventory management and distribution opportunities.
  • Spearhead technology-enabled initiatives to enhance visibility across the supply chain network, leveraging advanced analytics, real-time monitoring, and predictive modeling.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement robust tracking mechanisms, ensuring end-to-end visibility from suppliers to end customers.
  • Develop dashboards and reporting tools that provide actionable insights into network performance, bottlenecks, and potential risks.
  • Collaborate with IT to design and maintain data models for real time, actionable analysis.
  • Demonstrate analytical rigor and develop data driven insights though the preparation of standardized and ad hoc reports to support inventory, service, and network optimization analysis.


Requirements



  • Advanced digital skills are necessary (e.g. Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI, D365)
  • Experience with scenario modeling and capacity planning to support make-vs-buy decisions, network design, and contingency planning
  • Five to seven years background in Manufacturing, Planning, or Distribution is required as well as a strong business acumen.
  • Fast-paced environment that requires organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Flexibility to perform at levels to meet peak demands in periods of high volume and activity.
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred.

  • 7+ years proven sales experience in a related position within the consumer products goods industry with direct account responsibility.
  • 3+ years of experience utilizing syndicated data.
  • Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze and evaluate several sources of data to develop actionable insights.
  • This position requires extensive use of computer equipment. Must have a demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft business software to include Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook. Familiarity with Nielsen or IRI programs is preferred.
  • Requires a valid driver's license.
