Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support our Macedonia, IL location. In this role, you'll compile and manage data, generate invoices and bills, greet and assist customers, and provide overall administrative support to the Location Manager and staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome and assist customers upon arrival
  • Answer phones and direct inquiries to the appropriate team members
  • Support the Location Manager with daily and monthly inventory and billing for fertilizers, chemicals, fuels, and other products
  • Prepare invoices, bills of lading, and credit memos
  • Maintain accurate transaction and inventory records
  • Organize store displays and maintain a clean, welcoming environment
  • Promote company products and services to drive sales
  • Administer customer credit accounts and support collection efforts
  • Maintain compliance with company safety and operational policies

What We're Looking For

  • Education & Experience: Associate degree or equivalent experience (6 months-1 year); knowledge of accounting and inventory systems preferred
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and general accounting/inventory software
  • Communication Skills: Clear verbal and written communication, with a customer-first attitude
  • Organizational Abilities: Strong attention to detail, ability to multitask, and a proactive mindset
  • Team Player: Friendly, dependable, and collaborative with excellent problem-solving skills

Physical & Work Requirements

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
  • Able to stand, walk, kneel, and reach throughout the day
  • Comfortable working in a retail and warehouse setting, with potential exposure to chemicals, noise, and varying temperatures
