The DTC Inventory Specialist plays a critical role in managing the systematic and physical movement of Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) wine inventory for multiple luxury brands. This position ensures inventory
accuracy, streamlined processes, and enhances the consumer delivery experience. Key responsibilities include identifying and implementing cost-saving and efficiency projects, as well as providing scalable
support to the Winery Estate Teams.

This role oversees and manages the systematic and physical movement of Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) wine inventory across multiple locations and systems. The role requires complex collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Estate, Finance, Compliance, Supply Chain, and Customer Services, to ensure timely fulfillment of consumer orders. Key responsibilities include managing accurate inventory counts, resolving discrepancies, proposing proactive solutions, and ensuring seamless operations through strong relationships with fulfillment vendors and suppliers. The candidate will also be responsible for analyzing key metrics to identify improvement opportunities and cost reduction strategies.

This role will possess exceptional customer service skills and advanced technology expertise, including proficiency in CRM, ERP, Commerce7, Ship Compliant, SAP, and Wine Shipping systems. They will implement improved operational processes and provide strategic recommendations to optimize inventory management and reduce costs. Additionally, the role involves managing order flow issues, conducting business-related studies, procuring specialty packaging, and ensuring compliance with quality, environmental, safety, and legal regulations. Strong analytical skills and the ability to provide insightful inventory reports to drive business decisions are essential for success in this position. This position also serves as a liaison between Consumer DTC Experience teams and fulfillment partners to coordinate specialty projects and support Estate teams across various capacities.

What You Will Need:

  • Bachelor's degree plus 2 years of direct to consumer, inventory control, supply chain,planning/scheduling, logistics, customer service, or finance experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR High School diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 6 years of inventory control or supply chain experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Computer skill requirements include intermediate MS Word and Excel; basic PowerPoint.
  • Strong problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both in oral and written forms.
  • Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional partners.
  • Required to lift and move cases of product weighing up to 40 lbs.
  • Experience applying established procedures to situations that are non-routine in nature requiring some evaluation, originality or ingenuity.
  • Skilled in performing work in accordance with established procedures that are more complex and varied in nature, requiring some evaluation, originality and ingenuity.
  • Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 15% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation.

What Will Set You Apart:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration plus 5 years of direct to consumer, inventory control, supply chain, planning/scheduling, logistics, customer service, hospitality or finance experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility OR High school diploma or State issued equivalency certificate plus 7 years of direct to consumer, inventory control, supply chain, planning/scheduling, logistics, customer service, hospitality or finance experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Wine industry experience with WineShipping, SAP, ShipCompliant & Commerce7 systems.
  • Experience managing vendor relationships

Compensation:

  • Hiring Range Posted: $34.52/hr - $51.73/hr
  • Plus incentives!
  • Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by factors such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
