Function/Team Summary

The Business Operations and Strategy team is a dynamic, cross-functional unit committed to advancing strategic initiatives and ensuring products are primed for market success and growth optimization. As an integral part of the client experience team, the team is responsible for crafting go-to-market strategies and overseeing the performance of financial ecosystems. Through strategic planning, process enhancement, data-driven insights, and initiative leadership, the team ensures alignment between the company's objectives and operational execution. Acting as a crucial bridge between executive vision and practical implementation, the team significantly contributes to the company's growth and success. The Senior Manager will play a pivotal role in this mission by spearheading process optimization and product integration projects aimed at enhancing client satisfaction and streamlining revenue timelines.

The Senior Manager of Business Strategy and Operations will lead efforts to overhaul the client onboarding submission process. This position demands innovative thinking and a readiness to challenge established norms. The Senior Manager will engage with key stakeholders to gather insights, refine client intake processes, utilize automation tools, and develop strategies that foster innovation and efficiency. This role blends process improvement with a product-focused approach to deliver a seamless and automated client experience.

Essential Functions

  • Lead client onboarding initiatives, driving the redesign of key processes to achieve a streamlined, automated, and client-friendly system.

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders across functions and regions to gather insights and align on project objectives and deliverables.

  • Identify and implement process improvements that reduce manual intervention, expedite processing times, and enhance client satisfaction.

  • Develop innovative solutions and strategies to automate decision-making and data integration, leveraging internal and external data sources.

  • Ensure the new process adheres to Visa regulations and compliance standards, with a focus on risk management and program monitoring.

  • Establish clear ownership and accountability across teams, facilitating effective decision-making and execution.

  • Monitor and report on project progress, success metrics, and potential blockers, ensuring continuous improvement and alignment with organizational goals.

  • Drive a client-centric approach, ensuring the new process is intuitive, user-friendly, and meets client needs.

  • Develop and manage communication and change management strategies to facilitate smooth project implementation and minimize resistance.

  • Foster a culture of innovation and collaboration, challenging existing practices and encouraging creative problem-solving.

  • Analyze market trends, customer needs, competitive landscape, and internal capabilities to identify growth opportunities and risks.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications

9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD

Bachelor's degree in business, management, or related field. MBA or equivalent preferred.

Minimum 8 years of experience in business strategy, operations, consulting, or related field. Experience in the industry or domain of the company is a plus.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex data and information into actionable insights and recommendations.

Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with senior management and stakeholders across different functions and levels.

Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously, under tight deadlines and changing conditions.

Highly collaborative and team-oriented, with the ability to build and maintain positive and productive relationships across the organization.

Self-motivated and results-oriented, with the ability to take initiative and ownership of projects and tasks in a fast pace environment.

Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with business intelligence tools, such as Power BI, or similar, is a plus.

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 127,400.00 to 184,900.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
